Position Description & Requirements
MALIN+GOETZ is looking for a Controller to join our small, growing team. A strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit will embrace our culture, possessing organizational and time management skills and ability to prioritize projects. Implementing structure is necessary to lead financial analysis, accounting and reporting for our successful growth business. You will work closely with our staff of 50, especially Operations, reporting to our Vice President and Co-Founders. This is a high growth position within our company.

  • Manage daily accuracy and productivity for payables, cash, invoicing, collections, payroll, inventory, fixed asset records, accounting, Human Resources, and Operations
  • Manage current outsourced Accounting and Bookkeeping Teams
  • Develop, improve and issue timely monthly financial records and plans for Executive Staff, consistent with organizational goals
  • Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company projects, programs, capital expenditures, products costing, etc
  • Manage commercial banking relationships as credit resource under competitive terms
  • Assure assets are not encumbered with personal guarantees or commitments
  • Work with executive staff for development/economic evaluation of benefit programs
  • Interface with audit firms, banks, insurance agents, credit card companies, etc
  • Provide vision and leadership for Finance/Human Resources to all staff w/goals
  • Report to executive staff when necessary in writing and verbally
  • Supervise all Operations including Computer Services, etc
  • Other duties as necessary within our small team
  • Manage direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Accounting/Finance, Operations, & HR Departments in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Must be able to calculate figures and amounts for all bookkeeping, payroll, budgets, statistical analysis and probability statements with necessary discretion.
  • Responsibilities: interviewing, hiring, planning, assigning/directing work, rewarding/disciplining staff, performance reviews, resolving problems.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures and regulations; ability to respond effectively to inquiries and complaints. Strong written and verbal communication necessary.
