Town & Country - No-nonsense staples

tc_cover.jpg tc_image.jpgStrip grooming products of their froufrou packaging, heavy scents and not-so-good-for-you additives, and what do you get? MALIN GOETZ ($12-$45), a new line by Kiehl's veteran Matthew Malin and Andrew Goetz, an alum of Vitra, the Swiss furniture design house. We've fallen for the modern aesthetic of this face-, body-and hair-care brand: bold, colorful type printed on plain white bottles. Its unisex formulations, equally au courant, eschew harsh detergents, waxes and oils and instead rely on gentle, aminoacid-based agents to cleanse, fatty acids and fatty alcohols to moisturize, and low-key botanicals to scent. At selected Barneys New York stores, 888-822-7639, or malinandgoetz.com.
