Job Summary

MALIN+GOETZ is adding a new position in our New York office. We are looking for an analytical minded, entry-level candidate to support our finance, operations and sales departments. The candidate will assist our senior team in analyzing and reporting on key metrics by performing basic accounting functions and providing financial analysis of sales, inventory and purchasing.

MALIN+GOETZ is a small but growing organization and it’s important that the candidate possess a sincere understanding and appreciation of the MALIN+GOETZ culture. As with any small business, you must be entrepreneurial-minded and willing to wear many hats to support the business where needed.

Job Description

  • -Work with sales team to provide weekly and monthly analysis of product sell-through by customer and SKU
  • -Forecast sales by customer and SKU and work with operations department on purchasing plan
  • -AR/AP and other bookkeeping functions
  • -Assist with preparation of financial statements, budgeting and analysis
  • -Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • -Assist Operations Manager for three (3) month period while current employee is on maternity leave
  • -Additional ad-hoc analysis as required

Candidate’s Profile:

  • -Bachelor’s degree with business administration major preferred
  • -Strong aptitude towards accounting/ERP systems (QuickBooks, Xero, other ERP systems) a plus
  • -Experience with POS (point of sale) systems and/or Magento e-commerce platform a plus
  • -Advanced Excel knowledge
  • -Enter bi-weekly payroll data

We currently have four retail locations and are opening our fifth and sixth doors in early 2015.
