Cargo - Match game

1117567432story_web.jpgFor an idea concocted over cocktails, the innovative unisex cologne concept by Malin+Goetz is a keeper. "Matthew [Malin] and I were drinking mojitos and thinking about how wonderful they taste," says cofounder Andrew Goetz. "Then we thought about how each ingredient-limes, sugar, rum-is great on its own too. We wanted our first fragrance to work the same way." So the New York-based skin-care company's debut features two colognes that can be worn separately or together. "Synthesized Musk" and "Lime Tonic" each include notes of lemon and musk, but Lime Tonic stays citrusy and light, while Musk adds patchouli for a warmer finish. Both are simple and unfussy and complement each other without competing for attention. "A guy could put Tonic on during the day and Musk at night," says Goetz, "or spritz them on different arms. They're also good for a couple to share: Each person can wear one and smell good, but together the pair will smell even better." ?AARON KRACH
