Our Sustainable Way.

Earth Day Planter
Earth Day Planter

Earth Day is an important day of awareness for action. It reminds us to reduce, reuse, and recycle waste, specifically plastic. While the U.S. is one of the global leaders for these values, it is up to us as individuals and organizations to set the example and continually find ways to make a difference. While we do this at (MALIN+GOETZ), Andrew and I (and Mr. Greenberg) also practice these ideals at home. We even keep a large compost pile in our backyard!

Since our launch in 2004, we have always included our impact on the environment as part of the mission of (MALIN+GOETZ). We strive to produce affordable, luxury skincare that limits the use of unnecessary packaging, ingredients and products themselves. These ideals are part of our philosophy. Whenever possible, we use recyclable and reusable packaging. Many of our products are made of recyclable plastics and glass (an apothecary staple). Also, we sell canvas shopping bags as an alternative to our paper shopping bags. Multi-tasking, value-added functions embody many of our items, and we intentionally selected a reusable glass vessel for our candles that also make for the perfect drinking glass, incredible catchalls, desk accessories or even planters.

Additionally, we support long-standing relationships with fellow family-owned businesses local to our operations in New York City. These include trusted chemists and contract manufacturers in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Our candles are even handmade in Brooklyn! Working with these loyal local partners, we continue to expand our offerings without ever losing sight of what drove the success of our very first products back in 2004: high quality at affordable prices, with an ever-decreasing carbon footprint. (MALIN+GOETZ) is made in the USA and does not test on animals.

Please join us in doing all you can to protect this beautiful planet we share. Let’s commit to leaving as small a footprint as we can, so that we can continue to wish future generations a very happy earth day for centuries to come.
